Ah, but we had this happen about 3 years ago in BSG beside the high school. A county sheriff deputy shot a man because he said "He feared for his partner's life because his partner was foolish enough to reach into a car and try to take the keys out of the ignition. The man was shot and killed by one of our finest.
Then about 5 years ago, near the New Peoples Bank in BSG, a man, who was having a lot of confusion because of his diabetes was smothered to death by BSG's finest because of their failure to recognize what the problem was and because they automatically thought this dude was drunk. This man never drank.
There were mountains of evidence, witnesses, video. This wasn't a "heat of the moment" scenario, this guy had been handcuffed, was face down on the ground with one offices knee on his head, the other officer just takes his weapon out, stands up and shoots the man in the back in front of everyone...then he get's off basically, this was a story with national coverage before and many seen it as a racial thing(which I don't have a clue about).
And when I say "city", I'm talking about the people who run it, not the public.
"Breaking into some foot-locker doesn't look good, but it was expected when one of their own got away with murder by one of their judges, they'll learn to fear the public's backlash a little more and not let something this disgraceful happen again. It destroys the confidence in our justice system when someone can get away with this, esp. a cop. "
Sounds like you favor burning the city.
We'll keep the lights on for you.
Spuds
Never said anything close to that, I said they shouldn't be surprised that it did happen and the city should think next time before they let something like this happen.
